Grade 1 Learners created their own story book using an online tool Carniegielibrary.
They added background scenes, speech and thought bubbles, characters with expressions, interaction and actions etc.
Grade 2 Learners used online latitude and longitude location tool worldatlas.com to identify various places on the map and created a word file called “Spot the places” and recorded their findings in the same file by finding out the name of the given place for the given latitude and longitude reading and vice versa.
Grade 2 Oakridgers learnt the basics of coding through arrangement of simple controls and characters through Hopscotch App. After certain amount of practice learners made their own animation using this App
Grade 1 Oakridgers read interactive stories in online tool Turtle dairy and answered questions related to those stories and checked the progress. They had fun reading , comprehending and answering questions.
Grade 4 Learners watched a video on excavation and overview on tools , techniques used by archeologists to carry out the excavation process. Later they reflected their undertstanding of the entire process by drawing a flowchart in Kidspiration tool
Grade 3 learners created Treasure Maps by marking Grids and Coordinates.They also added interesting situations in between the Start and End point of the travel route.
Grade IV learners created a Timeline on an ancient Civilization where they picked up the prominent incidents that happened during the civilization and added supporting details to each incident with a descriptive text, year and picture.
Grade I learners created a Comic strip by laying out the Beginning, Middle and End of a story. They added appropriate characters, background scenes, dialogues and expressions to their Comic strips.
Grade III learners created a presentation on different Landforms and included real satellite images of the examples using Google earth tool. They also applied transition effects and animation effects for the presentation
Grade II Learners used MS Word to represent the different types of Plants through text and pictures. They were introduced to the basic tools of Ms Word like Adding text,Changing Size of Text and inserting pictures.
