Tux Paint Reflection- ICT Tools
Grade 2 Oakridgers did a recap of the ICT tools used in Unit 2 projects. They were introduced to Tux paint software and learnt about different options like Paint , Add text, add images, add background , add shapes , and use magic tool. They had fun in reflecting on the ICT tools used, learner profile they exihibited and TD skills used in these projects.
Greeting card – Paper Circuit
Grade 3 Learners did a recap of design theory, Elements and principles of design . They were also taught on simple circuits. They were taken to design lab to make the greeting card paper circuit and they had fun making greeting cards keeping target audience in mind for upcoming occasions like Halloween, Diwali , Xmas and birthdays.They added LEDS on their cards and created a simple circuit using copper tape and battery

Earthquake resistant house
Grade 5 Learners revisited design theory, elements and principles. They were taken to the Design Lab and started building the initial prototype of their Earthquake resistant Design model using the necessary raw materials
Sketchup Design
Grade 5 learners discussed the design project for unit 2 and watched a video related to the model they are going to design and make. As part of this project they were introduced to design software Sketchup where they learnt how to create different shape creation tools, fill colour, view the design in all angles using orbit option and designed simple houses.
Early Human Vs Modern Human
Grade 2 Learners Created a Venn Diagram in kidspiration tool to differentiate the characteristics of Early humans and Modern Humans and analyse the common factors that lead their migration., They added text and pictures relating to early and modern humans.
India Map
Grade 1 Learners shared their knowledge on the different states and neighboring countries of India .They were introduced to online map making tool called ” mapsofindia.com” where they marked 7 different states ,5 neighbouring countries in India Map and filled colours. Later they created a image of themselves in paint and they added the IB leaner profile they closely relate to.
Human Body Systems in Scratch
Grade 4 Oakridgers created a Human Body Systems animation project in Scratch where systems of their choice interact with each other along with music, motion and dialogues using Broadcast feature instead of adding wait time.
Product Analysis
Grade 3,4 and 5 learners were given Introduction to Design Theory and studied in detail the elements & principles of design in the last couple of weeks .They understood the design factors to be kept in mind while analyzing a product and reflected their understanding by doing product anlaysis of their choice in a table in MS-doc & were able to connect to the IB Key concepts.
National Symbols
Grade 1 Learners discussed the national features of India, major cities,
places or events reminding history, famous personalities from both past and present, national symbols, goods and services we export & import. Later they reflected on these facts in kidspiration tool in the form of mind map by adding right details to the national symbols of india
